HR Generalist

Primary Purpose:

Assists in the coordination of Human Resources, Safety/Compliance, and Training/Development functions to optimize the use of all resources in meeting and/or exceeding established Builder Center goals.

Essential Functions:

  1. Acts as primary point of contact for HR department for all employees in the Service Center for PCS/Timberlake, including Field Operations

  2. Process time & attendance, including PTO requests, for the bi-weekly and weekly payroll processing deadlines.

  3. Generates daily reports, including but not limited to, headcount, absence, daily exceptions, and install complete

  4. Manages temp process, from planning, requests, timecard approvals, end of assignments, and month-end temp reporting.

  5. Processes agency invoices weekly

  6. Enter new hires and processes other data changes into HRIS system and maintains data integrity

  7. New employee and conversion hiring process, including background checks, drug tests, and new hire orientation

  8. Ensure Prevailing Wage requirements are being met through timely processing of timecards, documents needing signatures, etc.

  9. Directs the manpower planning and associated recruitment activities to include: identifying hiring needs, employee selection, on boarding and training process; assists with planning and executing reductions in force as necessary.

  10. Develops on boarding plans for all new hires. Additionally insures that new hires receive the proper training as driven by the associated IDP.

  11. In conjunction with the Corporate Human Resources Manager, Provides counseling and resource assistance in the areas of policy, benefits, salary administration, training/development, performance issues.

  12. Working with the Corporate Human Resources Manager, assists with the professional development of exempt personnel. This includes Performance Management (PIP?s), Organizational Development, Succession Planning and Individual Professional Development.

  13. Monitor and coordinate all local/state governmental and regulatory compliance activities.

  14. Maintains accurate and complete employee files and other HR related information for hourly employees.

  15. Represents Company in Unemployment Compensation Hearings as needed.

  16. Working with the Corporate Human Resources Manager, Conducts investigations into employee complaints including sexual harassment and discrimination issues.

  17. Manages the transfer of employees between departments in conjunction with the Job posting procedure.

  18. Plan and coordinate department?s activities to support SQDC targets, and meet and/or exceed client and/or customers? expectations.

  19. Actively participate on assigned teams and/or projects.

  20. Ensures company and location policies are followed and provides guidance and counseling as necessary.

  21. Provide a safe and productive work environment, including housekeeping.

  22. Participate in the identification and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives

  23. Role model CITE and Working in Teams principles

  24. Perform other tasks as directed by direct supervisor

Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • Bachelor degree in Human Resources or related discipline; PHR/SPHR certification is a plus.

  • Minimum of 2-3 years Human Resource experience.

  • Must have experience in coordinating or administering Human Resource programs including but not limited to recruiting, benefits, leave administration compensation, safety, and training.

  • Bi-lingual in Spanish required.

  • Excellent personal computer skills in a network environment; Microsoft products experience preferred - Outlook-Word-Excel-Access-PowerPoint.

  • Track record of successful project management

  • Experience in working in a team environment

  • Management style must be consistent with CITE Principles

  • Strong planning/Organization & Time Management skills

  • Strong analytical skills highly preferred

  • Demonstrated problem solving skills

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
