Major responsibilities - Help payroll manage all internal and external audits - Miscellaneous duties as assigned - Organize and compile summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages in order to draft relevant reports - Maintaining payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data - Answer questions and requests related to payroll information - Enter changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers as part of managing payroll records - Handle reconciliation of employee deductions and other relevant liabilities - Draft relevant year-end reports, as well as weekly, monthly, and quarterly ones, for department heads - Report needed changes after maintaining payroll operations according to established policies and procedures - Manage payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information - Facilitate company compliance according to federal and state regulations and guidelines - Continue employee confidence in payroll operations by keeping sensitive information confidential - Manage and review, including verify, source documents - Put together summaries of employer social security, unemployment, and worker compensation payments and employee federal and state income and social security taxes to calculate all payroll liabilities
- Meet and uphold Certified Payroll Professional criteria - Experienced in basic accounting principles and solid financial acumen - Knowledgeable about federal and state payroll regulations and requirements - Expertise with internal controls - Microsoft Dynamics AX experience highly desired - Microsoft Excel experience preferred - Knowledge of multi-state payroll - Prevailing Wage experience - Payroll experience - Relevant experience should include 2+ years in payroll - Prior experience working with accounting software - Outstanding data entry skills - Previous experience handling high volume multi-state payroll, billing, licensing, AP, etc. - Excellent analytical, quantitative and social skills

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
