Convenience Store Account Manager, Foodservice


GENERAL SCOPE OF POSITION:


The Convenience Store Accounts Manager is responsible for the initiation, development and maintenance of significant, sustainable and profitable business relationships with the top 101 Convenience Store accounts with units throughout the United States. The target accounts will include both established chains listed in the CSP Top 101 List as well as mutually agreed regional and emerging C-stores whose food offerings/menu offerings and growth rate qualify them for targeting. C-Stores sales includes all channels within the C-Store; Fresh Food Offerings, Retail Items and Foodservice items.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Profit and Sales attainment



  • Achieve agreed Foodservice Convenience Store Account sales by securing and developing meaningful volume and long term supply agreements.

  • Develop and implement Foodservice pricing strategy with assigned accounts in order to optimize volume and revenue while maximizing the operating profit associated with the assigned accounts.

  • Work closely with internal departments (Finance, Operations, Marketing, QA, and R&D) to optimize profitability and reduce disruptions due to swings in demand or other business fluctuations.

  • Supply related forecasting of demand, the development of long-term supply agreements and the achievement of strategic objectives associated with securing incremental distribution as a foundation for growth.

  • Develop effective plans to increase market penetration within the Convenience Store segment.

  • Works closely with the field sales network and their brokers to effectively execute national programs, including custom item roll outs and securing authorized/approved supplier status (secondary for non-commercial opportunities).


New Product Development



  • Follow the PIF stages for products designed to fill demonstrated needs for specific National Accounts.

  • Identify opportunities for significant incremental volume with existing and new customers based on a clear understanding of their needs and the Company's core competencies in terms of manufacturing, brand, and technical capabilities.

  • Communicate those needs internally via a concise business proposition that includes elements such as: size of the opportunity, customer requirements for price and product characteristics, term of the opportunity, distribution requirements and other elements necessary to properly assess the impact and resources required for success.

  • Participate in the New Product Development process with respect to Foodservice in conjunction with the Research & Development and Marketing.


Administration



  • Perform administrative activities as necessary for the effective management of the function, including budgeting, planning, organizing, integrating, and measuring the work performed within the functions.


Other Requirements:



  • Bachelor's Degree (B.S. or B.A.) from an accredited four-year college/university

  • Minimum 5 years Convenience Store account management

  • Foodservice Sales is a plus

  • Ability to prioritize and work with others

  • Strong interpersonal and sales skills and organized

  • Possess strong analytical, quantitative, problem solving, and technical skills

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Power Point as well as Internet research

  • Must be assertive, highly self-motivated and enjoy being a member of a fast paced environment

  • Position requires travel depending on the needs of the marketplace and the specified customer targets

  • Position requires a high degree of integrity with the ability to work efficiently in an independent fashion without day to day direct supervision

  • Demonstrates the ability to work remotely

This tradition of gathering around a great meal with family and friends is what Del Real Foods strives to pass on, from our family to yours. The Cardenas family continues to play a leading role in the cultivation of each new Del Real Foods product, assuring that the taste and texture remains authentic and true to our Mexican roots.



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
