Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Recreation Supervisor of Special Events and Sports to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing a variety of special events and sports programs for our community.
You will also be responsible for supervising staff and volunteers, and ensuring that all events run smoothly and safely.
Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, and oversee a variety of special events and sports programs, such as festivals, concerts, leagues, and tournaments.
Develop and maintain relationships with community partners.
Secure sponsorships and funding for events Market and promote events to the community.
Manage budgets and ensure that events are cost-effective.
Schedule and oversee staff and volunteers.
Ensure that all events comply with safety regulations and permits.
Evaluate the success of events and make recommendations for improvement.
Interview, Evaluate, and recommend selection of subordinate staff.
Supervise, train and evaluate Subordinate staff.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Parks and Recreation, Sports Management, or a related field Minimum of 3 years of experience or supervisory role is a plus in recreation or a related field Experience in planning and organizing special events and sports programs Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Cavas.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
