Ensures employee safety on a daily basis.
Supports a food safe and sanitary facility that meets or exceeds all requirements of the customer, company policy and regulatory.
Ensures a continuous flow of quality products that meet or exceed all requirements of the customer, Galasso's Bakery and regulatory agencies.
Establishes and maintains effective working relationships and two-way communication with co-workers and other personnel Supports and participates on projects as assigned.
Participates in the selection, training and development of departmental staff, so future management is developed.
Develops performance standards for each departmental position.
Manages budget and controls expenses.
Provides management reports and information as required by company management on a timely and accurate basis.

Responsibilities:
Confers frequently with VP Manufacturing/Operations on daily activities and any proposed changes.
Supports all capital expenditure projects for the plant to ensure completion on schedule and within budgetary guidelines.
Develops and maintains Quality Assurance programs and procedures with a goal to achieve food safe and quality products and production efficiency.

objectives, guidelines, procedures, policies and standards for monitoring, reporting and maintaining food safety.
Develops and maintains a record-keeping system, which provides immediate access to past data with clearly marked folders/ achieve boxes, etc.
, and updates records a minimum of every two years.
Performs necessary laboratory tests on an on-going and as needed basis and records and distributes all test results in a timely and accurate manner, including supplier and customer generated data.
Maintains comprehensive Quality Assurance document administration including supplier specifications, Galasso's Bakery specifications, Galasso's Bakery policy/procedures, customer requirements/reports, stock recovery, in-plant reports and computer applications.
Plans and directs in-plant Quality Assurance programs to ensure that raw materials and finished products conform to Galasso's Bakery quality specifications, standards and customer expectations.
Develops, implements and monitors statistical process control programs.
Provides customer service support through the development of effective relationships with customers.
Maintains regular communication with the Food Safety & Quality Assurance Manager, Production and Customer Service, concerning any customer and/or quality issue(s) on an on-going basis.
Education, Skills and Knowledge Required:
Minimum 2-5 years QA experience required (preferably in the food industry) Scientific background strongly recommended Bachelor's Degree in related field recommended Ability to multi-task with attention to detail Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Job Type:
