Summary:
The Rental Manager position is responsible for driving the overall gross profit and profitability of the Rentals department while continuously creating a customer centric focus.
This will include the effective development and management of people, processes, and systems within the department.
Responsibilities:

Strategically plan and execute a business model that will increase short-term rental revenue and profit to meet annual goals.
Preserve rental contracts and ensure timely and accurate issuance of customer invoices.
Satisfactorily addresses and resolves escalated customer issues or concerns in a timely mannerProvides leadership and training to resolve the root cause of customer issues and concerns on a long-term basis resulting in improving the customer experience.
Partners with the internal accounting department to ensure the efficient collection of outstanding invoices while maintaining accounts in good standing with minimal past due amounts.
Builds positive customer relations for the Company by ensuring an elevated level of customer service is provided to internal and external customers to include:
Providing swift resolutions and responses to questions, concerns, and request for units and/or updates.
Qualifications:
Consistency in adhering and upholding the company processes and timelinesResponds with a sense of urgency to incoming rental inquiries from prospective customers Secure accurate knowledge of current rental units in inventory within the organization (including external branches) by using the internal inventory system and verifying as needed with a physical count.
Collaborate with the Service Department to plan, request, and schedule any prep work necessary for units based on availability of all requests and follow up to ensure customers requirements/commitments will be met.
Create rental reservations and BOLs using internal systems and processes.
Responsible for maintaining accurate documentation of rental assets transferred internally & externally to ensure an accurate account of inventory.
Survey, study and communicate competitor rental rates annually and propose recommended rate changes based on the market.
Maintain the required amount of Ready To Go rental inventory based on current demand.
Drive individual performance within the department by developing measurable goals, defined processes and accountability through coaching and on-going performance management.
Strives to maintain rental units in prime condition by inspecting returned rental units for customer damage and invoicing customer as necessary for touch ups and repairs.
Education/Additional Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated passion for customer service, strong organizational skills, and a desire for continued growth within the role.
Must be dependable and reliable in addition to:
High school diploma or equivalent and 7 to 10 years of management and/or leadership experience within the industrys area of rental units, logistics and / or transportation organization.
Bachelors degree in business administration or related field and 3 to 5 years' experience; preferred.
Strong attention to detail and ability to problem solve.
Ability to meet processing deadlines and prioritize work.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to be resourceful and lead projections effectively through completion.
Proficient with Outlook, MS Word and Excel and the ability to learn internal systems.
Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
Previous experience managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated a customer centric focus.
Effectively able to adapt quickly to changing priorities, duties, and responsibilities.
Proven ability to motivate self and others and foster a positive team-oriented environment.
